Each ticket is assistance with a reported problem or for general computer assistance on 1 specific task.  For example if some software stops working you would then use one ticket to request resolution to the problem.  Tickets do not cover full system installations or re-installations.

Examples of how tickets can be used:

  • Installation of Microsoft Office = 1 support request
  • Setting up 1 email account = 1 support request
  • Installing a software driver = 1 support request
  • Virus/ Malware removal on 1 system = 1 support request (Note if the system has been badly damaged we may recommend a system re-install this is chargeable)
  • Configuring your website DNS = 1 support request
  • Fixing your web browser = 1 support request
  • Supporting you with a problem on an technical task = 1 support request

All Monthly IT Support includes giving your Desktop PC or Laptop a standard or advanced repair service from the start so your PC is running the way it should be and also includes anti-virus. Remote Support tickets include resolving a single issue and can be used against a wide variety of issues.   Some problems require a visit to resolve such as if your computer won’t load or your internet connection isn’t working.

Support prices quoted are for Microsoft Windows, however support for Apple Mac and Linux may also be possible at the prices quoted please call to discuss your requirements.

Terms and Conditions

* Set-up and On-Site prices based upon 6 mile radius of Carlisle, Cumbria, England. Services are provided within approx 20 mile radius of Carlisle. Additional costs apply for set-up or visits to your workplace outside a 6 mile radius of Carlisle up to a maximum additional cost of £7.50 per visit to cover increased travel costs.

Support for network server’s and more advanced networking such as Active Directory, Exchange Server, Windows Server require the ‘Business Network Support’ option.

Replacement hardware costs are not included where required this is billed separately.

If your computer is replaced or changed, 1 pc change per pc supported is permitted to be changed during 12 month’s, all additional changes are charged at £15 per PC change.  If the PC that has been changed to is in a bad state of repair an on-site visit would be required and would be chargeable or come out of your included call outs.  If your PC is advised to be replaced or upgraded by Avalon Computer’s the £15 charge is waived.

Support ticket requests are responded to within 24-48 hours maximum usually much sooner, all support is usually made within 7 days of the ticket being opened this may include an evening/weekend where you require this. Business support tickets of an urgent nature aim to be responded to within 4 hours.

Cancellation Policy

All services may request to be cancelled at any time for any reason, 30 days notice is required after the first 28 days has passed, all cancellations must be confirmed in writing either by letter or email. Refund’s are only provided within the first 28 days where the service has not been used. When cancelled the service continues to be active until the end of your last months billing cycle.  This does not effect your statutory rights.

** Professional Support and Business Network Support includes Free Set-up however if the service is cancelled within the first 12 months a charge of £55 Per PC maybe payable in certain instances for example if 3 PC’s are services and the agreement cancelled in the 1st month, this charge is made to cover the cost of Advanced Servicing of your PC or Laptop if it has been required at the time of set-up.
